How
do you clean something that is part soft, part hard, part metal and part
sheep? |

- "Cleaning the Machine"
This is a challenge – how
do you stay clean when you can't take this monolithic torture device off?
Here are some of the best recommendations we came up with:
Washing Your Hair
-
Using a bathtub, get down on
your hands and knees.
-
Wrap a towel around the halovest
to keep it from getting wet.
-
Bend over the side of the tub.
-
Use an extendable shower head
that can be moved around, make sure you stay tilted forward so little water
gets on the halovest.
-
You can clean everything from
the neck up doing this
Washing Your Body
-
Just sitting in a tub will take
care of your waist down.
Washing Under the
Halovest
-
Use a thin towel with soap
-
Work it under the vest so the
other end is sticking out
-
Move the towel back and forth
for both the front and back
-
For rinsing, do the same with
a damp towel, without soap
-
To prevent any odor, you can
use 50% rubbing alcohol and 50% water to clean the skin under the vest
and the lambs wool itself. The rubbing alcohol had a remarkably cooling
effect that is welcome in the summer heat.
